WELFORD Juniors FC are delighted to announce they have recently achieved The FA Charter Standard Club accreditation.
The FA has formally recognised the club is committed to raising standards throughout grassroots football, ensuring the club is well organised, well managed and provides a positive experience for players and volunteers alike.
Welford Juniors FC, based at Synder Meadow in Welford-on-Avon, is a thriving football club with over 120 children aged between five and 18.
It starts off with an introduction to football, which allows the children to get to know football, learn the basics and above all have fun with their friends, progressing through to mini soccer leagues and eventually competitive teams who compete in the Evesham Ambassador Football League in which matches are played on Saturday mornings.
The club has recently undergone a new management restructure and, together with its team of dedicated volunteers, officials give up much of their spare time to coach and develop the children’s football skills.
The FA Charter Standard programme supported by McDonald’s is a kitemark that recognises and rewards high quality levels of provision in club and league football.
“We are delighted that Welford Juniors FC has been recognised as a well run club that places great emphasis on child protection, quality coaching and safety.” said club secretary Phil Thompson.
If you have a child interested in joining the club, would like to know about sponsorship opportunities or can volunteer any spare time, then coaches for each age group can be contacted through the website at www.welfordfootballclub.co.uk.
