Town postpone friendly

Stratford Editorial 27th Jul, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

STRATFORD Town have postponed their first appearance of the new season at the DCS Stadium after calling off tomorrow’s (Tuesday) friendly against Rugby Town.

The club says the pitch needs a little more time to recover from the drainage work undertaken during the close season.

It means Carl Adams’ side’s next friendly will be against visitors Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.

Town chalked up a third win in six warm-up games so far when Dior Angus hit the winner in a 1-0 scoreline at Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday.

The only goal at Coles Lane came after ten minutes when Kevin Charley flicked on a Liam Francis pass and Angus, one of half a dozen summer recruits, raced away to score.
