Stratford Town FC to host key Aston Villa Ladies fixture

WOMEN’S Super League football comes to Stratford this weekend when Aston Villa Ladies play host to Yeovil Town Ladies at Stratford Town.

Sunday’s WSL2 game at the DCS Stadium kicks off at 2pm and there is likely to be a home favourite in action with Stratford star Mollie Rouse now a permanent fixture in Joe Hunt’s Villa squad.

The 17-year-old is well known for her footballing exploits with Stratford School and last summer represented England Women U17s in the European Championship finals in Iceland.

Hunt’s fifth placed side head into the game on the back of successive wins over Millwall Lionesses and Watford and will be hoping for plenty of vocal backing from fans from across Stratford and beyond as they bid to upset the table-toppers.

A family day ticket (two adults and two children) costs just £10, while adult tickets are £5 and children/OAPs £1.

You can snap up advance tickets online at https://sales.webticketmanager.com/avlfc or, if you prefer, pay on the gate.

Stratford is no stranger to women’s football, having hosted top flight Birmingham City Ladies for three seasons until their move to Solihull in 2014.
