THE SEARCH is on to find and honour some of the district’s sporting stars.
Nominations are now open for Stratford District Council’s Sports Awards 2016.
The annual ceremony, taking place on Friday, January 22 at the Stratford Manor Q Hotel, recognises the past year’s sporting triumphs as well as the hard work of volunteers, coaches and supporters from clubs and schools across the district.
There will be awards for the best junior sportsperson, senior team, sports volunteer and senior sportsperson.
Other prizes include the NFU Mutual Community Award, the Everyone Active Junior Team of the Year, the Fit for Sport Alternative Sport Award, the Rybrook Mini Stratford Coach or PE Teacher of the Year and the Stratford Manor Q Hotel Service to Sport Award.
