STRATFORD’S bowlers hit form to secure a convincing 108-run victory away to Bablake in the Warwickshire County League Premier Division.

Having been dismissed for 206, the Panthers needed to make a quick impact on the Bablake batting and they did exactly that.

Only three batters managed double as they slipped to 38-4 and then 87-7.

Dipesh Patel tried to rally the hosts with 39 and he was the last man out with the score on 110 in the 31st over.

Josh Colwell led the bowling attack, finishing with 3-37 off nine overs, while there were two wickets apiece for James Urquhart (20-3), Archie Walker (2-21) and Mike Brown (2-28).

Stratford opener Gareth Langman top-scored for his side after they had been put into bat.

Dexter Purser (29) and Langman put on 59 for the first wicket before Langman and Nick Pepper (29) joined forces to put on 61 for the second wicket.

Langman was fifth out, having hit 69 off 93 balls, with eight fours, to leave Stratford 148-5 and Henry Smith (14), Josh Colwell (15) and Archie Walker (17no) steered them beyond 200.

Stratford, who sit second behind leaders Walmley, visit Barby on Saturday.

STEPHEN Miles, Adnan Wahid, and Paddy Thompson all took three wickets as Pershore swept aside Brockhampton in a nine-wicket victory in the Worcestershire County League Premier Division.

Miles snapped up 3-19, Thompson 3-27 and Wahid 3-28 as visitors Brockhampton were skittled for just 83 in 27.2 overs. That final score was a revival after they had been reduced to 47-9 before tail-ender Thomas James hit 31 off 22 balls.

Pershore wasted little time in reaching their target. Though Wahid fell without a run on the board, No 3 James Kinder smashed a run-a-ball 50 and opener Thompson 24 off 37 to get the Plums home in 13.5 overs.

Now sitting fourth in the table after five wins in a row, Pershore entertain 11th-placed Worcester on Saturday.
