Angels spread their wings at Tinsel Tournament

FOUR girls’ teams at Shipston High School got into the festive spirit through their love of netball by staging a ‘Tinsel Tournament’.

More than 40 pupils of all age groups competed in a mixed team event and wore festive garments for the tournament on December 16.

Four Christmas teams – Angels, Baubles, Elves and Reindeers – battled it out against each other with the Angels proving to be strongest team by winning all three matches.

Netball continues to be a popular sport among the girls where they regularly compete against other South Warwickshire Schools in league and tournaments.

In January, the girls will be watching England take on Australia at the Copper Box Arena in London and in March Years 10 and 11 will be competing in a netball weekend at Condover Hall in Shrewsbury.
