STUDLEY Cricket Club’s junior section rounded off an incredible season as two of their young sides competed in county finals.
Despite the club having a relatively small junior section, compared to other local teams, two of Studley’s four junior sides took part in county finals.
The club’s under-10 and under-11 teams played in county finals after winning their respective leagues before triumphing in play-offs.
And the under-11’s won the league in their age group and went on to play in the Cotswold Hills League play-offs before just coming up short in the final against Earlswood CC to finish as Cotswold Hills county runners-up.
The under-10’s finished as Warwickshire county runners-up after they were beaten by Walmley CC having won the league in their age group and advanced through to the final via the play-offs.
And the club’s under-9’s team also enjoyed a memorable season and were invited to play in a tournament at Edgbaston, home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club.
The youngsters all enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime experience of playing on the famous Edgbaston pitch and felt inspired by the occasion.
