Youngsters to celebrate right to play

Stratford Editorial 28th Jul, 2018   0

A PLAY day is set to entertain youngsters in Stratford.

Stratford District Council’s free National Play Day event takes place at the recreation ground on Wednesday (August 1) from 10am to 3pm.

Highlights include a climbing wall, circus skills, inflatables and an animal experience tent.

Council community spokesman Coun Mike Brain said: “I love this annual event and seeing so many families enjoy themselves for free as they’ve done in previous years. Anyone who’s been before knows what a super event this is, especially with families looking to keep children occupied over the summer holidays.

“Let’s hope the sun shines!”

The national day is celebrated across the UK to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.
