Woman grabbed around neck during Stratford attack

Stratford Editorial 10th Jul, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

ROBBERS grabbed a woman around the neck in Stratford before rifling through her handbag.

The attack took place just before noon on Monday (July 7) in an alleyway leading from the rear of Tesco’s Birmingham Road store to Hodgson Road.

The 25-year-old woman sustained slight injuries and although she could not get a clear view of the attackers, she was able to see that the man who grabbed her was wearing a black hooded top and another man was wearing an orange top.

The pair fled through a back alley towards Maple Grove. It is not know if anything was stolen.
