RESIDENTS in Wixford are kicking up a stink over particularly foul smelling manure.
Despite the recent heatwave, locals say they are having to close their windows and claim they cannot enjoy spending time outdoors due to the overwhelming stench.
It has been reported the unusually strong smell might be from human waste being used as manure, which is legal if used in the right way.
A Stratford District Council spokesperson said the process was permitted by the Environmental Agency under a Waste Exemption permit.
Stratford’s Environmental Health team has received one official complaint about this matter.
