Whatcote villagers invited to ask questions about Severn Trent project

Stratford Editorial 17th Sep, 2020   0

Severn Trent is inviting residents in Whatcote to meet and discuss its £120,000 project to replace pipes in the area.

Company representatives will be on hand on Tuesday September 22, in the Royal Oak car park, between 4pm and 6.30pm.

The team will explain how the work is planned, outcomes, traffic management, and to answer questions.

Spokeswoman Shannon Currall said: “We know how important it is that our customers always have water when they need it, that’s why projects like this really matter as by replacing our water pipes, we’re really helping to prevent any problems for anyone. This project is making sure our water network is of top quality, meaning our customers can have a reliable water supply for years to come.

“It’d be great to see as many of those who will benefit from the project there as possible, as it’s a great opportunity for us to show you where and how we will be working.

“We want everyone to be in the know about where we’ll be and when and we understand that local people have great knowledge of the area and can help us to do the work in a way that causes as little disruption as possible.”

Work will start on Monday September 28, and is expected to be complete by early November.
