Editorial Correspondent 11th Oct, 2021 Updated: 11th Oct, 2021

FIREFIGHTERS have been tackling a blaze at a 17th century pub in Wellesbourne.

Crews, along with six fire engines, were called to The Stags Head around 1.30am this morning (Monday) as fire tore through its thatched-roof.

Relief crews remain to damp down the site today to ensure all flames have been extinguished.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed no one was hurt in the fire.

The cause is being investigated.
