A LONG-Covid support group has been set up to support sufferers in Warwickshire.
The sessions, which are held at the Brunswick Hub in Leamington, aim to offer an environment where individuals can offer support to each other through sharing their stories and experiences of Long Covid which can make day to day life difficult
The weekly one-hour sessions can be virtual or in person and are limited to a small number of participants.
They will be facilitated for six weeks and then will continue as a closed group to help each other as an independent group.
Long Covid, formerly known as Post Covid Syndrome, is the term used to describe the long term effects created from suffering Covid-19.
Although there is still a lack of means for an accurate diagnosis, if someone is still experiencing symptoms 12 weeks post infection then it is generally accepted they are suffering with Long Covid.
There can be more than 200 symptoms which can affect anywhere in the body.
Symptoms can come and go, and new ones can appear weeks or months later
