Warwickshire history talk to focus on medical practice in Shakespeare's day

Stratford Editorial 7th Nov, 2021   0

17th CENTURY physician John Hall will be the subject of a talk by Warwickshire History Society.

The free event will be held online, on November 16 at 7.30pm.

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Dr Paul Edmondson will discuss recent research into the medical practice of Shakespeare’s son-in-law.

It aims to provide an insight into medical practice and the social and intellectual climate of early modern Stratford.

John married Susanna Shakespeare’s eldest daughter and they had one child, Elizabeth. It is believed the family moved into their Stratford home Hall’s Croft in 1613.

Visit WLHS’s Eventbrite to register for the talk.
