DEDICATED Warwickshire volunteers have been thanked for their support in all weathers.

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has thanked to the Warwickshire 4×4 Volunteers Group for its ongoing support during the pandemic.

Community spirited drivers have helped transport nurses to hospitals, clinics and patients’ homes to ensure people received the treatment they needed, even during snow and heavy flooding.

Volunteers’ support, including collecting and distributing personal protective equipment, medical equipment and transportation of staff and patients, has numbered around 700 trips.

Trust spokeswoman Rachel Williams said: “I would like to personally offer my sincere thanks to all of the 4×4 Volunteers Group who have not only helped our staff get to and from work safely in the recent snow fall, but who have also offered that extra support throughout the whole of the Covid-19 pandemic. The volunteers help ensure our vital services can continue to run effectively and that our staff remain safe.”

Those interested in volunteering with the group can email [email protected].
