DATA shows nearly all voters in the district brought photo ID that met newly introduced voter ID requirements.
There were 106,394 electors across the district who were eligible to vote in the Local Election on May 4, of which 44,896 voted.
Only 32 electors who tried to vote at at one of the 142 polling stations were not given a ballot paper because they did not meet the new voter ID requirements – representing just 0.0 per cent of those voting.
And the figures also show of the 32 electors initially turned away, 20 returned with acceptable ID and were able to vote.
This means that only 12 of those who were initially turned away did not vote – 0.026 per cent.
