VIRTUAL clinics are reducing waiting time for patients at Warwick Hospital.
The Lakin Road site has launched a virtual fracture clinic, where patients with broken bones or fractures, have their follow-up appointment over the phone with a nurse. If further treatment is needed an appointment is made.
South Warwickshire Foundation Trust – which runs the hospital – say the virtual clinic makes treatment quicker and easier for patients, while freeing up space for those who need to see the consultant.
Chief executive Glen Burley said: “We are really pleased to launch this great service. It is excellent innovation from our outstanding orthopaedic team and should provide additional benefits to our patients.”
