Two women trapped in three vehicle smash near Alcester

TWO women had to be cut free from their cars following a three-vehicle crash near Alcester.

The smash involving the two cars and a van happened on the Alcester Bypass in Oversley Green shortly before 6pm on Monday (March 30).

Firefighters and medics worked to free the women. One in her 40s was treated for chest injuries and back pain before being taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further treatment. The other woman was treated for injuries to her face, back and legs before also being taken to the Alexandra Hospital.

Two men in the van both escaped injury.
