Tribute paid to dad who died in Stratford smash

TRIBUTE has been paid to the motorcyclist who died following a crash with a van and a car near Stratford.

Paul Steven Wilkes of Sandy Hill Road, Shirley, became trapped beneath a car on the the A3400 Birmingham Road near Pathlow caravan park around 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon (May 3).

Emergency crews, including an air ambulance, attended to help free the 59-year-old but he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of the van and the car were uninjured, police said.




Mr Wilkes has been described by his family as a “beloved husband, father, son and step-father who will be sadly missed.”

Police investigating the incident are still appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact PC Dave Findon on 01926 415415.
