Three people trapped after head on collision

THREE people, including a young girl, were rushed to hospital following a head on collision near Stratford on Sunday (July 30).

Crews had to free them from the wreckage close to the Bishopton Island where a BMW had ended up in a hedge shortly before 5.30pm.

A seven year-old girl in the BMW suffered neck, face and abdominal injuries, while a 34 year-old woman suffered face, leg and wrist injuries. Both were taken to hospital. The man driving was unhurt.

The 18 year-old woman driver of a Ford Fiesta involved was airlifted to hospital with fractures to her arms and legs.
