Thieves take silverware from Shipston church

SILVERWARE was stolen and a window broken during a burglary in Shipston.

In the early hours of Saturday morning (November 28) thieves broke into St Edmund’s Church, taking items including silver plates and a silver box.

Some of the stolen silverware was discovered in a bag which had been hidden under a car, but some items are still missing.

Anyone with information should call 01789 444670 to speak to Shipston police.
