AN EVENING of Dickensian fun was held in Welford to kick off the festive season.
This was the fifth year The Bell Inn has hosted the traditional evening with firs and hollies, three roaring fires and mulled wine.
Staff dressed in period costume and amateur dramatics couple Paul and Viv Tomlinson and their friends joined in entertaining guests.
A charity raffle also raised £200 for the Shakespeare Hospice.
