Terrified tabby spends 13 hours on rooftop

Stratford Editorial 14th Jan, 2018   0

A PETRIFIED cat was stuck on her owner’s rooftop for 13 hours before fire crews in Leamington were called to rescue her.

Six-month-year-old Mabel spent the night in the rain and fog after getting out through an upstairs window, and was too frightened to come down.

After trying everything they could to coax her down, Mabel’s owners called the fire brigade to bring her to safety.

Crews say the tabby immediately leapt onto the back of one of its members, and stayed there until they reached the bottom.

Once safely back on the ground, the lucky feline was checked over by the crew and handed back to her relieved owners.
