SUPPORTERS of Shakespeare Hospice were positively glowing at the weekend.
Fund-raisers lit up Stratford town centre with neon when they embarked on the charity’s seventh annual Glow Walk on Saturday evening.
Hospice spokeswoman Hayley Roberts said: “Let It Glow was a brilliant success.
“Seeing the beautiful Stratford town centre filled with people having fun, covered in festival style face paint, neon tutus and glow sticks was fantastic. We certainly made our mark!”
And in true un-Olympic tradition, walkers were sustained by candy floss, ice cream and bacon baps.
The hospice costs around £2million a year to run, but only receives five per cent of funding from the NHS, so community support is vital.
