Stratford School pupils made festive hampers for foodbank

Stratford Editorial 30th Dec, 2016   0

CHARITABLE pupils created hampers for the Stratford Foodbank appeal.

Over 30 hampers were made, decorated and filled by Stratford School which will be donated to locals in need over the festive period.

Science teacher Ed Bamford, spearheaded the project, said: “I felt that everyone should be thought of at Christmas and that no one should feel alone. If we can give gifts to people who may not otherwise receive them then we have truly spread the Christmas spirit and brought some happiness to people.”

And Marion Homer from the foodbank added: “We are absolutely delighted that Stratford School have worked with us in this way. They have taken our Christmas foodbank appeal to another level with the decorated Hampers that will be so appreciated by the charities like St Basils who will distribute them to those in need this Christmas.”
