Stratford restaurant's car raffle drives up funds for charity

A CHARITY supporting terminally-ill children and their families has received a boost from a Stratford restaurant.

Staff at Loxleys Restaurant raised £6,000 after organising a ‘Win a Car’ raffle for Hatton-based charity Molly Olly’s Wishes.

The raffle was part of the Sheep Street venue’s sponsorship of the recent Stratford Food Festival.

The winner of the raffle was Sebastian Wojniusz who will have use of the brand new Citroen C3 for a year.

Loxleys manager Jonathan Lea said: “Being able to support a local charity that does so much to help children and their families is a real privilege and we’re delighted to have raised this amount of money for Molly Olly’s.”

Molly Olly’s Wishes grants wishes to children and donates toys and books to families and hospitals in the UK.
