Stratford pensioners can now purchase their concessionary parking permits

PENSIONERS are reminded that concessionary parking permits are now available in Stratford.

The permits cost £50 per year and are available for residents aged 66 and over. They can be used at any time of the week at Bridgeway Multi-Storey Car Park and Bridgeway Surface Car Park only, for a maximum stay of four hours.

The permits have been available since October 1 from Stratford District Council.

Those eligible can purchase a permit online at SDC’s website or by visiting the council offices.

SDC’s neighbourhood spokesperson Coun Lorraine Grocott said: “I am pleased that we have been able to work with officers to reintroduce the concessionary parking permits so quickly into our new programme. We are determined to deliver change on behalf of our residents and to support our local communities by encouraging more residents of state pension age to visit Stratford and access our open spaces and leisure facilities.”
