Stratford library to temporarily relocate

Stratford Editorial 8th Jan, 2017   0

LIBRARY services in Stratford are being moved temporarily.

The library on Henley Street will close on Friday January 20 while essential works, including piping and electrical work are carried out.

The temporary base at Stratford ArtsHouse on Rother Street will open on Monday January 30 and will be run from 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.

Although the smaller size of the temporary site means services provided will be limited people will still be able to borrow books, use two public computers, have access to free WiFi, use the photocopier and the free Rhymetime and Storystomp sessions will still be available.

When the works are complete in the summer the building will boast a new and improved look, longer opening hours and house the service for registration of births, deaths and marriages.
