Police appealing for witnesses to crash with horse and rider

A HORSE and rider needed treatment after they were involved in a crash with a van in Kineton.

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses following the crash yesterday (Thursday) at around 8.30am in Pittern Hill.

The rider, a woman in her fifties, sustained injuries to her arm and leg and was rushed to hospital.

The horse is thought to have bolted before being caught and treated by a vet.

Anyone who saw what happened should call police on 101.
