Police appeal for witnesses after incident in Wellesbourne pub

A WOMAN has been arrested after several people were injured by a corrosive fluid in a Wellesbourne pub.

The liquid was thrown into the restaurant area of The Kings Head just after 9pm on Tuesday evening (September 15) leaving a man and two women with minor injuries.

A 26-year-old from Warwick has been arrested on suspicion of throwing a corrosive substance with intent.

Det Segt Cindy Stephenson said: “We believe this was targeted attack, and the suspect is known to the victims.




“We are continuing with a number of inquiries and are treating this as a serious offence.”

Police are urging anyone with information about the attack to call 101 quoting incident number 351 of September 15, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
