A TEENAGER was assaulted while on the way to school in Alcester.

Police have launched an investigation following the incident, which took place in the street opposite the entrance to Alcester Hospital sometime between 8am and 8.15am on Thursday (November 5).

Det Insp Mark Lakey said: “Initial reports from the victim state there were a number of males involved in this incident.

“We are currently working with the victim to get more details of the incident and a better description of those involved.

“In the meantime, we are keen to speak to two people who interrupted the incident.

“These are described as being a man and a woman in their 70s or 80s.

“The man was wearing a brown suit and the woman was wearing a purple dress.

“We believe the men made off towards Kinwarton Road in the direction of Tesco and would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or has information to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
