THOUSANDS flocked to enjoy fun in the sun at Leamington Carnival.

Some 20 floats left Campion Hills and headed towards the Pump Room Gardens before the festival began.

Despite some of the gardens being closed off for redevelopment works, the show went on with live music, dance performances, stalls and fairground rides.

Event manager Jamie Walker said: “We were disappointed that we couldn’t use the whole area but it didn’t have an impact on the day as a whole.

“We still had an enjoyable time and the event went on as planned.”
