People encouraged to think Fairtrade when they snack

PEOPLE are being urged to think Fairtrade when they snack.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs until March 12 and this year district residents are being asked to use Fairtrade products to keep them fuelled throughout the day.

Chair of Fairtrade Stratford, Roger Matthews, said: “This year we’re encouraging people to include Fairtrade products when they have a morning or afternoon break.

“You can easily have your coffee or tea Fairtrade, or include a Fairtrade banana. And there are plenty of chocolate bars and biscuits available for a bit of indulgence!

“All the supermarkets in the town carry a range of Fairtrade products so it’s easy to buy Fairtrade to use at home.

“And many of our local cafes also use Fairtrade products if you want to go out for a Fairtrade break.”
