AN ORCHESTRA from Stratford have been showing All You Need is Love.

Stratford Festival Orchestra and choir were supposed to be performing hits from The Beatles’ iconic album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album in Liverpool on the 50th anniversary of its release.

But on the back of a rally being held in the city they were advised not to travel.

Instead the choristers and musicians formed a ‘flashmob’ in Stratford town and belted out the album.

More than 200 people gathered to watch the performance and many joined in with songs like ‘I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends’.

Orchestra chairman Ray Coyte said: “We had nowhere to play and so we asked the Town Council and Stratforward if they would allow us to play outside in the town.

“They were brilliant and readily agreed. They did a fantastic job of ensuring that things went smoothly”.

The orchestra are calling for anyone who would like join to contact them.
