AN OLYMPIC medalist has been helping youngsters in Wilmcote spring into action.
Gymnast Kristian Thomas visited Wilmcote Primary School to kick start ‘health week’ – focusing on eating well and fitness.
The Olympian – who scooped a bronze medal at the London 2012 games – talked to youngsters about becoming an athlete and keeping fit, and then led ‘fitness circuits’ for the whole school.
Pupils were sponsored to take part in the sessions, with the money raised helping to buy new sports equipment for the school and supporting British athletes through charity Sports for Schools.
