Offshore hit right note to win Warwickshire Live Band competition

A YOUNG Stratford indie rock band were on song at a Warwickshire-wide competition.

Offshore hit the right note to win the Warwickshire Live Band Final for up and coming young bands and artists from across the county held at the Zephyr Lounge – part of the Assembly in Leamington. Eleven acts took to the stage in the Warwickshire County Music Service organised competition.

Offshore members Mitchel Cartwright (vocals), Joe Dean (lead guitar/ vocals), Ben Lindsay (guitar), Joe Johnson (bass) and Tom Findlay (drums) all attend Stratford College.

The band will go on to represent Warwickshire in a major gig being planned for later in the year with other music services across the West Midlands.




Warwickshire eductaion spokesman Coun Colin Hayfield: said: “Well done to Offshore for winning. It was a very tough competition. This is just another example of how Warwickshire’s County Music Service supports young musicians to achieve great things across a range of musical styles and with their instrument of choice.”
