Menopause evening a great success in Stratford

Stratford Editorial 30th Dec, 2023   0

AN EVENING with a menopause doctor in Stratford has been hailed a great success.

Eighty women spent the evening with renowned menopause expert Dr Louise Newson at the Newson Health and Wellbeing Centre.

Dr Newson is a GP and menopause specialist who is passionate about increasing awareness and knowledge of the perimenopause and menopause and campaigns for better menopause care for all women.

The event was organised by Action Menopause Warwickshire, a local charity established to support women to access the care and support they require to live their lives well through the menopause.

Dr Newson was interviewed by AMW founder Sue Thomas and shared her own personal stories and answered the many questions that had been collated, as well as answering questions from the audience. Numerous issues that are facing women and their friends and families were covered.

Action Menopause Warwickshire runs bi-monthly support evenings for local women at The Nelson Club in Charles Street, Warwick.

The next one of these will be held on Thursday January 25 from 7pm to 9pm. The guest presenter will be Trisha Quinn, a local health and wellbeing coach with over 30 years experience in the fitness, health and well-being industry.
