Man charged with attempted murder following firearm incident in Stratford

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life, after a teenager in Stratford, suffered from a bullet wound to the leg.

Abdi Adbirizakh Ali, of St Peter’s Road, Leicester, was arrested in Bristol on Friday (December 8)  and was charged after appearing before Warwickshire Magistrates this morning (December 11).

The 18-year-old was remanded to appear at Warwick Crown Court on January 4.

Police were called to Brookside Road at around 4am on Monday December 4 after being alerted by the ambulance service which had been called to treat the 17-year-old victim.




He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Det Insp Tim Sharp from Warwickshire Police said: “Following this incident we launched a thorough investigation and we continue to try to locate another male in connection with it.


“We’re still keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, especially anyone who saw two males or a car acting suspiciously in the area or making off from Brookside Road in the early hours of Monday morning.”
