TWO men have been arrested following an incident in Bridge Street, Stratford, this morning (Tuesday).
Officers closed the road for three hours after two men were spotted on the roof of the long-abandoned BHS building.
The road was sealed off from Wood Street to Waterside as police dealt with what they termed a ‘welfare incident’ and the public were urged to avoid the area.
The two men was finally arrested at around 9am and the road re-opened to the public shortly after.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “We’re pleased to report the incident has now been safely resolved and we have arrested two men who are on their way to custody. The road will shortly be re-opened. Thank you for your patience while we dealt with the incident.”
