Hudson's officially open for business in Stratford

A WELL-KNOWN face from the world of TV antiques cut the ribbon at a new store in Stratford,

Adi Higham from BBC’s The Bidding Room was the guest of honour at a special opening event at Hudson’s Homes and Antiques.

Hudson’s, located in the former Bond’s building on Evesham Road, plays host to 45 antique and vintage dealers, as well as a cafe, and has been open to customers since the beginning of September.

The antiques store was the vision of James Hudson, who drew on his extensive career experience and personal passion to create this one-of-a-kind shopping destination.

With a background in food and drink, including training as a chef, and over 15 years in the world of antiques and collectibles, James saw an opportunity to redefine the concept of an antiques centre.

He said: “There’s a wealth of wonderful dealers serving a whole new generation that appreciates mixing the quality and sustainability of vintage and antique items with more modern pieces to infuse character into their homes.”

And an essential pillar of Hudson’s mission is its commitment to the community. The store has provided employment opportunities to many talented and experienced individuals who faced job loss when Bonds closed its doors.
