Horse rescued from River Avon

A DRINK for a horse ended up with a fall into the River Avon.

Firefighters from Stratford and the Large Animal Rescue Unit were called to rescue 14 year-old Tenny on Sunday afternoon (November 6) in Clifford Chambers.

While being comforted by his owner, a farmer used a digger to remove some of the bank near to Tenny which helped him to climb out after about 10 minutes of digging.

He is now safe and well.
