A ‘GROOVY’ car driven by a Bidford businesswoman has helped raise funds at a charity rally.
Jody Fletcher took part in the Twin Town Challenge, a race in a £500 car from Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire to Le Torquet in northern France.
The race is held to raise money for charity SpecialEffect – which develops technology for disabled people to play video games.
Jody, who is managing director of product provider Chilli Promotional Products, was in a team with three other businessmen and women and took on the rally along with 100 other groups.
Together her team has so far raised nearly £2,500.
All groups dressed up in movie-inspired fancy dress, also making their cars fit in with their themes.
And Jody’s team were inspired by 90’s classic Austin Powers – covering their car in Union Jack flags and wearing purple suits and wigs.
Jody told the Observer: “We had an amazing experience raising money for a charity that does fantastic things to help individuals and families.”
