'Graftonbury' fundraiser hailed a success

THE GLASTONBURY Festival may not be taking place this year but ‘Graftonbury’ proved a success.

The charity music event which took place at The Golden Cross Pub in Ardens Grafton near Bidford raising more than £2,300 for the Shakespeare Hospice.

Eight live bands performed including Birmingham-based band China Town Lights and Stratford’s own Simon Kemp Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

Community fund-raiser Nicola Edwards said: “The amount raised for The Shakespeare Hospice and the generosity of the public who came along to our music festival is really fantastic.




“This will really help us to support patients with life limiting conditions and their families by providing a range of specialised services across South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds.”
