Golfers urged to tee-off for charity

Stratford Editorial 11th Aug, 2023   0

GOLFERS are being urged to tee off in aid of charity.

The Shipston Home Nursing Golf Day takes place at Feldon Valley Golf Club in Brailes on

Friday September 15.

The day starts with coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, followed by an 18 hole ‘Texas Scramble’ teeing at 9am. There will also be on course refreshments, a two-course lunch, presentations, prizes and an auction.

Ticket prices remain the same as last year at £65 per head (or £40 per head for Feldon Valley members).

For local businesses interested in supporting the event, there are several sponsorship opportunities available. Donations to the auction or raffle would also be gratefully appreciated.

Hospice head of fundraising Kate Bamford said: “This is the 16th year of our fundraising golf day which, thanks to the generosity of players and sponsors, has raised valuable funds for Shipston Home Nursing. It’s always great fun and this year we hope to see even more golfers, along with some sunshine.”

Visit www.shipstonhomenursing.co.uk/events for more information.

Companies interested in entering a team or supporting the event via sponsorship should email [email protected].

Shipston Home Nursing is a hospice at home charity, caring for people with life-limiting illnesses who wish to stay in the comfort of their own homes. The service covers Shipston, Wellesbourne, Kineton and surrounding villages and is completely free of charge.
