THE ROLE of Stratford’s civic photographer has been snapped up by a gifted student.
Ellie Sloan, from Stratford School will replace John Edwards in the role of documenting civic life in the town.
The A-level photography student was selected by the school after Stratford Town Council approached it with the younger generation in mind.
Ellie – whose dad is a professional photographer – will hold the post for a year before handing over to a another of the town’s students.
Her first job is to capture the mayor’s Bowling Match between the town council and Avon Bowling Club.
Mayor Victoria Alcock said: “We hope that she finds her new role fulfilling and enjoyable and we look forward to welcoming her to her first engagement next month.”
