Former Stratford Territorial Army centre set to be replaced by homes

THE FORMER Territorial Army base in Stratford looks set to be demolished and replaced by homes.

Developers Castle Homes Of Warwick Real Estate plan to build seven homes and three apartments on the New Broad Street site.

The 100-year-old building was used by the Territorial Army until 2011 when the squadron moved to Stourbridge. The building’s shooting range, armoury, gym, officers’ mess, kitchen and bar have remained in use and some events are still held at the venue.

The Army cadets, who also previously used the facilities, moved to Foundation House in 2015.




If plans are given the green light the site will have each home will have a garden and there will be 30 car parking spaces.
