Five arrested in connection with the death of a man in Stratford

FIVE people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Stratford.

A 39-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman all from Stratford and a 26-year-old woman from Wellesbourne have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody.

A fifth person – a 36-year-old man from Stratford – has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The arrests are in relation to an assault that took place on Arden Street at around 4.15pm on Monday (June 22).

The victim – a 36-year-old man – has not yet been formally identified but died at the scene following the assault.

The road, which was closed at the roundabout on Guild Street/Birmingham Road, next to Shakespeare Street while police carried out their inquiries, has since re-opened.
