Far from slim pickings for Rubbish Friends

BEAVERS, cubs and scouts teamed-up with Rubbish Friends for a clean up.

The litter-fighting community group, together with 1st Shottery beavers, cubs and scouts and their families, manged to fill more than 20 recycling sacks and nine rubbish sacks during a recent afternoon picking.

As well as tidying up the streets and pathways of Stratford, they also found time to ensure their own grounds were litter free ready for a project working with Hedgehog Friendly Town to to build hedgehog houses.

Rubbish Friends will be out picking again on Sunday (March 25), between 10am and noon.
