A FAMOUS businessman has joined Stratford College’s board of governors.
Lord Digby Jones already has links with the college after opening refurbished lecturing facilities in May.
Lord Jones said: “I am very pleased to be extending my association with Stratford College who are focussed on preparing its students for future employment and a successful career.
“The recent establishment of its Apprenticeship Academy, which will offer practical help to students in securing the right apprenticeship, is testament to its long-standing commitment to a combination of college-based learning and workplace training, a policy I wholeheartedly endorse.”
Principal Nicola Mannock hopes students will benefit from both Lord Jones’ extensive business experience and his support for vocational education.
