Escaped horses caused delays on A46

Stratford Editorial 21st Sep, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

AN ACCIDENT involving a horsebox on the A46 caused serious delays.

It happened around 1.15pm on Tuesday between Longbridge Island and the A425 Birmingham Road exit after the southbound carriageway of the bypass was blocked by an overturned horsebox.

Two horses escaped and were loose on the carriageway so officers stopped vehicles traveling northbound while the horses were caught.

It is believed there were no injuries and no other vehicles were involved.

Both carriageways were reopened an hour later.
